Watch Full-Length HBO Iraq Veterans' Documentary for Free OnlineJame's Gandolfini's recently released documentary on the post-war lives of injured veterans from the war in Iraq is now free for the viewing online through HBO at the time of this posting. Watch it here, and let me know your thoughts afterward in the comments. I met Mr. Gandolfini at the screening of the documentary in Washington, DC, and I have to say I was impressed with how understated his presence at the event was, letting these brave veterans have the stage.

We Must Not Let Our Enemies Define Who We Are (Dave Ross)Yesterday, Dave Ross of CBS put out a powerful statement on how we can choose to greet the coming of the 9-11 anniversary each year. Listen here. There’s still no cheaper day to fly than September 11th? Yeah, I guess that would make sense. Hmm, I’ll have to keep that travel tip in my back pocket.

This lady deserves a donation - What an American citizenReaders, all I can say is, "Wow." Watch this amazing video that a coworker sent me on what one woman, an artist, is doing for the families of fallen Soldiers, and if you feel compelled to donate, please do so here. I recognize that we don't want to be in Iraq forever, losing our sons and daughters, our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers. But I also recognize that it's up to the leaders to make those decisions when they feel, strategically, they are right. And while most of us are "at the mall" or keep our heads in YouTube caring only what's up with Paris Hilton, there are people like this woman out there giving support in the ways they know best. What might this country be like if all of us did one simple thing that we knew best in support of the veterans over there -- simple, seemingly tiny but meaningful acts or words of encouragement that could, cumulatively, extend a unified hand of U.S. support to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, rather than making them feel that the American public is no longer on their side? Just my two cents. Thanks for reading.

This blog deserves a mention todayThank you Google for introducing me to this blog. I feel like it’s the blog I’ve wanted to write for some time myself. Two articles I’ve read today already resonate with what I’ve been thinking about for some time now. I think everyone should consider checking out a few entries. I highly recommend the following: Are you an American zombie? AND Have you fallen for these 7 negative attitudes pushed by the media?
